HOW IT WORKS

Microneedling meets radio frequency.

3D Dermaforce combines fine needles with radio frequency energy delivered into the skin. The controlled mechanical injury and targeted heating trigger a wound healing response that can stimulate collagen remodelling and improve the appearance of texture, scarring and mild laxity over time.

The depth, energy and treatment area are selected following a detailed assessment. More energy does not automatically mean better results, and treatment is always tailored to skin thickness, concern and safety.

WHAT CAN IT HELP WITH?

A targeted approach to skin concerns.

Skin firmness and fine lines

May improve the appearance of mild to moderate laxity and fine lines, including selected concerns around the jawline, lower face and neck. Results are subtle and progressive rather than a surgical lift.

Acne scarring

Evidence supports improvement in the appearance of atrophic acne scars and uneven skin texture. Response varies with scar type, depth and individual healing.

Texture and visible pores

Can support smoother looking skin and reduce the appearance of enlarged pores and uneven texture over a treatment course.

Stretch marks and body skin

RF microneedling may improve the appearance of stretch marks and selected areas of body skin texture. It does not remove stretch marks completely.

FACE AND BODY

Treatment designed for the area.

Dermaforce can be used for selected facial and body concerns, including the face, neck, abdomen and areas affected by stretch marks. Different areas require appropriate treatment heads, needle depth and energy settings.

At your consultation we discuss the area you would like to treat, realistic outcomes and whether RF microneedling is the most appropriate option.

YOUR APPOINTMENT

What happens during treatment?

01 · Consultation

We review your skin concerns, medical history, current medication, previous treatments and suitability.

02 · Preparation

The area is cleansed and prepared. A suitable topical numbing product may be used to improve comfort.

03 · Dermaforce treatment

A sterile treatment cartridge delivers microneedling and controlled radio frequency energy according to the treatment plan.

04 · Aftercare

We explain expected skin reactions, give you written aftercare and plan any further sessions if appropriate.

RESULTS AND COURSES

When will I see results?

Some people notice changes in the appearance of their skin relatively early, but collagen remodelling develops over weeks and months. A course of approximately three sessions is commonly recommended for many facial concerns, while scarring and stretch marks may require more. The interval and number of sessions depend on the indication, skin response and device protocol.

Improvements cannot be guaranteed. A course does not stop the natural ageing process, and maintenance may be discussed following assessment.

REGENERATIVE OPTIONS

Polynucleotides and exosomes.

Polynucleotide treatments and selected exosome based skincare may be discussed as optional additions to a wider skin plan. Their role, timing and suitability depend on the product, treatment area and your individual needs.

We can discuss whether polynucleotides or exosome based skincare would complement your treatment plan, with the products and timing selected according to your skin and the relevant treatment guidance.

DOWNTIME AND AFTERCARE

What to expect afterwards.

Redness, warmth, swelling, sensitivity and small pinpoint marks are common after RF microneedling. These usually improve over the following few days, although some clients experience dryness, temporary roughness or longer recovery depending on treatment intensity and area.

Protect your skin

Follow the specific Dermaforce aftercare supplied at your appointment. Avoid picking or rubbing treated skin and use only products approved for your recovery period.

Heat and exercise

Avoid intense exercise, saunas, hot baths and excess heat for the initial recovery period advised by your practitioner, commonly at least 24 to 48 hours.

Sun and active products

Avoid direct sun exposure and use appropriate sun protection once advised. Delay retinoids, exfoliating acids and other irritating actives until the skin has recovered.

Potential complications include infection, post inflammatory pigmentation, burns, scarring and, rarely, unintended fat loss or nerve injury. Seek prompt medical advice for worsening pain, spreading redness, blistering, significant swelling or signs of infection.

SAFETY AND SUITABILITY

A considered clinical assessment.

RF microneedling is not suitable for everyone. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, active infection, open wounds, certain inflammatory skin conditions, implanted electrical devices such as pacemakers, some metal implants, bleeding or healing disorders, relevant medication and a history of abnormal scarring require screening. Some are reasons not to treat, while others require further assessment or medical advice.

We also review previous injectables, recent procedures, skin tone and pigmentation risk. Your safety and the suitability of the chosen device protocol always come before treatment.

SKINPEN OR DERMAFORCE?

Which microneedling treatment is right for you?

SkinPen uses mechanical microneedling to encourage the natural skin repair response. Dermaforce adds radio frequency energy to produce controlled heating within the skin. This may be particularly useful for selected laxity and texture concerns, but it also introduces heat related risks. Neither treatment is automatically better for everyone.

We assess your skin concerns, goals and medical history to recommend the most suitable approach.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Your questions, answered.

Is Dermaforce RF microneedling painful?

You may feel warmth, pressure or a prickling sensation. Topical numbing may be used. Comfort varies with the area and treatment settings.

Can RF microneedling treat stretch marks on my stomach?

It may improve the appearance of stretch marks and texture on the abdomen and other suitable body areas. Complete removal cannot be promised, and a course is often needed.

How many sessions will I need?

Around three sessions is common for many facial concerns, but deeper scarring and body concerns may require more. Your treatment plan is individual.

Can I have RF microneedling for active acne?

Research is exploring RF microneedling for acne, but evidence varies by device and technique. Active inflamed or infected lesions may make treatment inappropriate. We assess the skin and follow the Dermaforce device guidance before deciding.

Can I combine it with polynucleotides or exosomes?

These may be discussed as separate or additional treatments when suitable. Product compatibility, timing and manufacturer guidance determine whether a combination is appropriate.

Is there a risk of fat loss?

Unintended fat loss has been reported with some uses of RF microneedling. This is one reason appropriate assessment, conservative treatment planning and careful device settings matter, particularly in thinner facial areas.
