What Is a Chemical Peel?

 

Chemical peels use specific acids (like lactic, glycolic, salicylic or TCA) to break down the bonds between dead skin cells, allowing them to shed more easily. This controlled exfoliation improves skin texture and supports collagen production.

 

Peels range from very mild to moderate strength. You may experience light flaking or redness for 1–3 days depending on the peel used.
